Zirben Gin Tonic

A gin and tonic is the drink nobody needs explained. That is exactly why it is worth getting right.

With Zirben Gin the juniper comes first, clean and bright, and the stone pine follows in the finish: soft and woody. Tonic stretches both out without covering either. Choose a dry one; the Zirbe doesn't need the sugar.

A big glass, plenty of ice, two minutes.

Ingredients:

  • 4 cl Zirben Gin by Gastein Moonshine
  • 12–15 cl dry tonic water, well chilled
  • Plenty of ice
  • A strip of lemon zest
  • A few juniper berries (optional)

Instructions:

How to make a Zirben Gin Tonic

Fill a large glass to the top with ice and stir for a few seconds to chill it. Pour off any water.

Add the Zirben Gin.

Pour the tonic slowly down a bar spoon or the inside of the glass, so it keeps its bubbles.

Stir once, gently. Twist the lemon zest over the glass and drop it in, with a few juniper berries if you like.

The bottle: Zirben Gin
