Mango Gin Fizz

A gin fizz is an old, simple promise: something sharp, something cold, a little lift of soda. This one keeps the promise and adds mango — with a quiet edge of habanero underneath.

Mango Habanero Liqueur does the heavy lifting: ripe mango up front, a warmth that arrives late and stays polite. Pair it with a dry gin — we pour our own Zirben Gin, which brings a faint alpine pine note that has no business working with mango, and works anyway.

Long glass, plenty of ice, built in two minutes.

Ingredients:

  • 4 cl gin (we pour Zirben Gin by Gastein Moonshine)
  • 2 cl Mango Habanero Liqueur by Gastein Moonshine
  • 2 cl fresh lemon juice
  • 1 cl simple syrup (optional — the liqueur brings its own sweetness)
  • Soda water, well chilled, to top
  • Ice, plus a slice of mango or a strip of lemon zest to garnish

Instructions:

How to prepare a Mango Gin Fizz

Fill a shaker with ice. Add the gin, the Mango Habanero Liqueur, the lemon juice and — if you like it a touch sweeter — the simple syrup.

Shake hard for 10–15 seconds, until the shaker frosts over.

Strain into a tall glass over fresh ice. Top slowly with chilled soda water and give it one gentle stir — no more, or you lose the fizz.

Garnish with a slice of mango or a strip of lemon zest. The habanero warmth shows up at the end of the first sip. It is supposed to.

The bottle: Mango Habanero Liqueur
